Freeplane is a free and an open-source software application which s thinking, sharing information and even getting things done at work, school, and at home. The software can also be used for mind mapping and analyzing all the information contained in the mind maps. The tool runs on any operating system which has current version of Java installed. It can run locally or portably from removable storages like a USB drive. Classifying nodes with metadata and style types (system styles, level styles, -defined styles).

Grouping nodes with visual containers and accolade (summary node). Connecting the nodes with dynamic links, free lines and labels. Automatically styling nodes with a bubble, colour, edge type, etc. according to hierarchical levels and content (automatic edge color, conditional styles, level styles). Freeplane s much more as compared to classic static mind mapping. This is simply illustrated by mind map application areas on the right, that summarizes the tasks ed by Freeplane. Installation->

  1. After completion, go to the s folder to find the ed file.

  2. Run the setup file by double-clicking on it.

  3. Now, select the installation settings and then finally click on the Install button to begin.

  4. After the installation, run the application and start using it.
